Organization of Xtras

This tip describes how to better organize your Xtras.
Version: 5 and above

Problem: You have alot of Xtras in your Xtras folder and it takes forever to see what is third party or original.

Solution: You can put your Xtras in separate folders for whatever organization method you prefer as long as you keep them in the Xtras folder.

For Example, this is what my Xtras folder looks like on my Mac. I put all the Xtras that the FreeHand installer installs in the "FreeHand Extras" folder. The others are listed by Company Group. The only exceptions are that the "Graphic Hose Folder" (v8) and the "Illustrator™ Plug-Ins" Xtra need to be in the base of the Xtras folder. Now doesn't that look nicer?

WARNING

Sometimes when updating FreeHand it may update or install new versions of Xtras. When this happens, just move these new/updated Xtras in to the folder you created that contains the older versions and replace the older ones.
